Sustainability and respect for the land around us and the people who inhabit it are core values for us. We are located within a UNESCO World Heritage Site, home of heroic viticulture, in an agribusiness district of excellence, and this involves us even more in a moral and social obligation to our Valley.
Our company’s internal sustainability projects
We have joined the RiVending project, which promotes the concept of “zero waste” with the goal of fully recycling polystyrene containers and plastic pallets dispensed by beverage dispensers in offices and self points within the plant.
With RiVending, recycling of these top-quality materials is simplified, avoiding costly and wasteful separation and washing steps. With a view to the circular economy, a new one is born from each recovered glass.
RiVending is a project desired by CONFIDA – Italian Association of Automated Distribution, COREPLA – National Consortium for the Collection, Recycling and Recovery of Plastic Packaging and UNIONPLAST – National Union of Plastics Processing Industries (Plastic Rubber Federation).
Through the “Plastic Free” project, we aim to raise awareness of a more conscious, responsible and sustainable use of resources, enhancing the synergy between the environment and human resources and planning the growth of the Enterprise in harmony with the quality of life.
For greater awareness and sensitivity to the land and the environment, we replaced hot beverage dispensers by adopting more efficient models and installed drinking fountains for access to free water. As a symbol of this will, aluminum water bottles were distributed to employees.
We have a strong connection with water: it is the fundamental element for the creation of our distinctive fabric collections. For this reason, we proudly share the mission of “Wami” water by selecting it for our vending machines.
Together with Wami, we help safeguard and fund water projects to donate clean water to communities that do not have access to this resource: each bottle provides 100 liters of water per person.
Wami uses only R-Pet bottles made from 50 percent recycled plastic. On each Wami label, it is possible to trace the water development funding project related to the specific family to which it is addressed.
